A Sciton LaserPeel is a resurfacing treatment that precisely removes a thin layer of skin using a specialized laser. how does it work?
The Sciton LaserPeel uses an erbium laser to remove a very fine layer of the outer skin (the epidermis) with precise control. As the skin heals, new cells form, leading to a smoother, fresher appearance. Collagen production increases over time, further improving skin elasticity and tone.
Most patients see noticeable results after one session, but a series of 2 to 4 treatments spaced several weeks apart can maximize improvement.

Most people see improvement once the skin heals, typically within 5 to 7 days. Skin texture and tone continue to improve as collagen regenerates.

Unfortunately due to certain medications, medical conditions or skin types,
laser may not be for everyone.
the following list indicates who may not be a candidate:
are you a candidate?
- under 18 years of age
- pregnant or nursing.
- viral infections or immune diseases
- any medications that cause photo-sensitivity
- skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis
- darker skin types
- individuals with tanned skin
- those on accutane (must be off for 1 year)
- antibiotics and steroids (off for 7 days prior and 7 days post)
- those with melasma (please schedule a consultation to discuss starting a hydroquinone prior to treatment
