What to Expect...
what is the treatment like?
When you visit us for your Cosmelan treatment, your provider will apply a leave-on mask containing a unique mix of proprietary ingredients designed to address the complex, multi-step melanin production process. You’ll leave the clinic with the peel still on, and we’ll provide you specific instructions for when and how to remove it once you get home.
expect 2 weeks of redness, sensitivity, peeling, and mild swelling.
Following your in-clinic treatment, we will provide you with a home care kit containing some products you will need for the following six months.
how often do I need to come in?
We will have you book a follow up appointment 8-12 weeks after your in-clinic treatment to monitor your results. we reccommend doing a cosmelan peel once per year
- please inform us if you are prone to cold sores before your appointment and an anti-viral will be called in for you.
- cosmelan md comes with an at-home skincare regimen that must be strictly adhered to.
- please discontinue retinol, tretinoin, acids or any exfoliating product and/or treatments 1 week prior.
- please do not wax 7 days prior to treatment.
