PRF is a protein matrix called fibrin that is derived from your own blood and used to rejuvenate skin. Once harvested, it becomes a gel made up of a high concentration of white blood cells, fibrin, and stem cells (growth factors).
PRP and PRF follow the same principle and have the same goal but they are different. prf under eye injections
a natural alternative to filler. prf injections to the under eye area can aid in correcting dark circles, hollowness, laxity, and fine lines without the worry of creating a "puffy" or "overdone" appearance. for optimal results, we reccommend a series of 3 prf injections spaced 2-3 months apart.
the process
platelet rich fibrin is obtained through a blood draw. we ask that patients do not drink alcohol the night prior to their appointment and arrive hydrated. The blood sample is placed in a special centrifuge and spun . after spinning, the PRF is carefully harvested from the top of the vial into the syringe and used immediately either post-procedure topically, or via injection.
